Asfur(Arabian angelfish)
Pomacanthus asfur
Distributed around the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and has the English name of Arabian angelfish. I'm not sure what to say about the color of the fish now, but the whole body is elegantly shaded in dark lustrous bluish purple or royal blue, and has a bright dark yellow wedge-shaped pattern. The tail fin is also a bright yellow with a bright contrast, and it is an intensely contrasting angelfish.
Although similar to Macross inhabiting the same sea area, Asfur is smaller and brighter (about 35 cm in length). It is more vigilant than Macrossus and soon hidden by corals and rocks, making it difficult to approach.

Yellow Band angelfish
Pomacanthus maculosus
Distributed around the Red Sea, the Gulf of Persia, the Arabian Sea, and the coast of East Africa. It's called Macross, Yellow Band Angelfish, Half Moon Angel. It seems that there is also a Japanese name called "Sedaka Yakko".
It is rarely seen on the coast of Japan and sometimes becomes a topic for divers.
The body length is larger than that of Asfur, and you can even see individual around 50 cm. The color is bluish purple, which is much lighter than Asfar, and the yellow pattern on the body and yellow on the tail fin are also light.
Whether it has a wider range of activity than Asfur or weak alertness, it swims around the coral reef leisurely.
It is a fish that makes it easy to take pictures from a short distance.
